Exclusively invited by Lord March
The first 6 wheeler has taken to the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Exclusively invited by Lord March, founder and host of the motoring event, the Italian engineered C3A is powered by an Audi 4.2 liter V8 that produces just under 500 bhp (373 kW / 507 PS). Capable of exceeding speeds of 300 km/h (190 mph), weight is kept to just 1150 kg (2535 lbs) using a tubular steel frame and a lightweight carbon fiber body.
As spectators passed through the Covini corner of the supercar paddock, they unanimously asked, "Why 6 wheels?" Gianluca Covini, son of the Italian mechanical engineer and company founder, Ferruccio Covini, responded, "For performance enthusiasts, four front wheels offer the ability to get around a racetrack faster than ever before as better traction offers higher cornering speeds and deeper braking, particularly when the pavement is slippery or less than ideal."
